Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of the personal information you give us, such as your name, street address, telephone number and e-mail address, and other personal information you may provide. The following policy is intended to explain how we treat this information. This policy may change from time to time.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
We do not provide your name, address, phone number, e-mail address or any other information about you to any third party except in response to a valid subpoena from a court of law. We also will provide information to law enforcement officers who are seeking assistance in preventing imminent injury or harm to an individual. When we receive a subpoena or law enforcement request, we shall attempt to notify you in advance of providing the information in order for you to have the opportunity to use legal means to block the disclosure.

Use of Credit Card Information
All credit card processing is done through an automated secure system operated by a third party with whom we contract. We do not have access to your credit card information. Our credit card processing vendor’s privacy policies are to not provide any information about you to any other party for any reason, and to not use the information itself except for the processing of the charges you have authorized for the Support Local Journalism program.

Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of young children is important to us. For that reason, we will not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under 13. The sole exception to this is our mailing lists. If a child under 13 signs up for our newsletter or any of our mailing lists, they will remain a member unless we are asked to remove them by their parent or legal guardian, or they elect to opt-out themselves.

Other Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not otherwise disclose or make use of personal information without consent of the user except (i) as described in this privacy policy, or (ii) as required by law, court order or as requested by other government or law enforcement authority. This policy does not protect information you post to any online bulletin board, chat room, newsgroup, reviews or other public forum within our sites.

Suspending Automatic Charges
If you would like to stop automated credit card charges at any time, please send an e-mail to and include your name as it appears on the credit card and your complete address. Do NOT send your credit card number. We will confirm receiving your request and the suspension of charge.
